On-Campus Housing

Living on campus is a growth experience for many college students. The University Housing and Residential Engagement teams provide the support and resources you need to form a community with your fellow students and make the most of living on campus.

About Student Housing

The University Housing and Residential Engagement teams co-manage four on-campus residential communities: DeSmet Hall, O’Connell Hall, West Hall and Residence Village. They also manage off-campus residential communities at Ignatian Village (Small Group Houses) and Boryla Apartments (on King Ave). Each residential community has a trained residential housing specialist available to help residents of each building.

During the academic year, each residential community is staffed by an Assistant Director on the Residential Engagement team, a Lead Community Advisor, many Community Development Assistants (CDAs) and Peer Ministers. These staff members collaborate to promote the quality of the community through educational programming, career development, spiritual guidance, social activities and advising.

Each residential room is fully furnished and all units include internet access. Depending on the building, the residential communities are co-ed by wing, suite, townhome, apartment or floor. All residential communities feature free laundry facilities and community lounges with expanded basic cable television.

Frequently Asked Questions

All first- and second-year, degree-seeking students who are enrolled full-time are required to live on campus for the entire academic year (fall and spring semesters). Exemptions may be granted through the Housing Exemption Request Form.

Research indicates that living on campus positively impacts several key student outcomes, such as:

  • Retention and persistence toward graduation
  • Perception of the campus social climate
  • Participation in co-curricular activities
  • Development of interpersonal relationships
  • Increased faculty interactions
  • Personal growth and development

These outcomes enhance students' overall educational experiences and contribute to their success at Regis University.

First and second-year students must meet at least one of the following qualifications to apply for a housing exemption:

  • I am 21 years of age or older by the start of the Fall semester (Move-in day: August 14, 2024).
  • I am commuting from my parent or guardian's full-time home address within 25 miles of campus (3333 Regis Blvd, using Bing/Google Maps).
  • I am married or have children.
  • I am a transfer student with at least four full-time semesters of consecutive course work completed prior to Regis, with a history of living on campus.
  • I am a transfer student with at least 60 units of course work completed prior to Regis.

If none of these qualifications are met, the student will not qualify for a housing exemption. The deadline to submit the housing exemption for Spring 2025 is October 31, 2024. If admitted after this date, students must submit within five days of enrollment.

All exemption requests must be submitted via the Housing Exemption Form.

All residential students must purchase a meal plan. Learn more about meal plans and on-campus dining at regis.edu/mealplans.
