First-generation students' parents or guardians do not have a bachelor’s degree. The RU First-Gen program at Regis helps these students navigate the unfamiliar challenges of higher education.
Undergraduate students in select programs who are new to their academic program, or who are transferring fewer than 45 credit hours, will begin the Regis experience with Cornerstone, part of our adult learner core curriculum.

Academic advising is an integral part of the educational process. At Regis, each student is assigned to an academic advisor who is committed to helping you succeed. Here are some primary functions of academic advisors:
Assists in planning an educational program consistent with your capabilities and interests
Acts as an academic counselor during times of academic difficulty
Serves as an informational resource about the academic process and University resources
Refers you to other student services that can help with troubles outside of the classroom
