Mission and Culture
Regis School of Pharmacy is a diverse community with a strong desire to serve their communities and advance the greater good. Service learning is an integral part of learning within the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions. Through community-based experiential service learning opportunities, students gain insight into social justice while developing professional skills like communication, leadership and cultural intelligence. RHCHP also offers a Global Health Pathway for select students who seek a rich, transformative experience leaning about and working with diverse populations, whether locally or abroad.
School of Pharmacy Students
Pharmacy gave me the perfect balance of not being a frontline health professional, but rather a little more in the background and still involved in patient care.

What Students Are Saying
"Being a Regis SOP student is an opportunity to better myself and become the best pharmacist I can be. I traveled far from home to attend Regis for the Team-Based-Learning style of education, the faculty support students have, and the Jesuit values that go hand-in-hand with my cultural and personal beliefs. The SOP has a reputation of producing highly educated pharmacists that are action takers and want what is best for the patient in a holistic perspective."
"Being a student at Regis University has allowed me to break out of my comfort zone and experience what it is like to be a pharmacist. Being at Regis has prepared me well for when it comes to our clinical or community rotations where we are able to apply the knowledge we learned from class to real-world applications (e.g., cardio therapeutics, anti-microbials, cancer therapeutics, etc.) and be a part of an interprofessional team. While at Regis, you begin to focus on the common chronic disease states prior to and during your first Introductory to Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) which sets us up to perform and understand what does into medication management early in our careers. Outside of Regis, I spend most of my time with friends and going up into the mountains to get away from the city."
"Our program at Regis emphasizes just and humane pharmacy practice by prioritizing the patient's needs and experiences. We discuss and practice ways to communicate with our patients and take into account not only physical and health related aspects, but also emotional, cultural, and spiritual preferences and needs. We use evidence-based medicine and learn protocols and strategies that help us connect with our patients and provide a whole person therapeutic approach. Caring for the whole person, cura personalis, is an essential and driving force in the culture and goal of our program. This philosophy is one of the main beliefs that bring most of our students together at Regis. The team-based approach to our curriculum creates a strong culture of accountability and collaboration. It challenges all of us in positive ways that lead to both professional and personal growth. In addition, it creates a strong network of support among peers and makes classes more meaningful and fun. Team-based learning requires commitment and responsibility, and those skills lead to very effective learning, outstanding professional, and strong communication skills. It is simply the best way to learn pharmacotherapy theory and clinical skills tailored to real case scenarios."
