Regis Gives

This program supports student and faculty research endeavors to inform best practices in health care, grow student research opportunities and provide students the opportunity to present their research findings at both local and national conferences.

The "Building Belonging: A Library Coffee Shop" project aims to transform the Dayton Memorial Library into a vibrant socio-academic hub. This endeavor responds to the evolving needs of Regis University's diverse student community, from balancing family and other off- campus commitments to international and post-traditional students. With your gift, we will create a welcoming environment where students can engage academically while fostering a sense of belonging and creating lasting memories.

The Regis University Singers have been selected to perform in concert, conducted by our own Dr. Raul Dominguez, at Carnegie Hall, in April 2025. This will be our Carnegie Hall debut! They will perform a newly commissioned composition called Climate Mass, a 30-minute piece for chorus and orchestra composed by Regis' Dr. Loretta Notareschi with text by English professor Alyse Knorr. For a Regis student to perform at Carnegie, they must pay their way: airfare, lodging in NJ, meals, ground transportation, excursions and their spot on the stage. The funds raised from this venture will go directly to the students to lower the price.

Catalina Hooser was a beloved Regis University graduate who died too young. She is remembered for her passionate advocacy for social justice issues, her strong leadership, her humor and her deep loyalty as a friend. The fund created in her memory seeks to support undocumented, first-generation and/or students coming from mixed status families for whom the pursuit of higher education can present extra challenges. Even the most tenacious of students encounter setbacks, and a small amount of support can make a big difference in helping them persevere to accomplish their dream of achieving a higher education.

The Regis University/Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions (RHCHP) Community for Belonging team will work with the RHCHP leadership team to develop a customized Becoming Culturally Inclusive program. With the rapidly changing health care patient/client demographics, the RHCHP programs are intentionally recruiting a diverse student body to meet the need for a more diverse workforce. Diversity consists of racial, cultural, generational, ethnic, individual differences, gender identity, intellectual disabilities and more. It is important that RHCHP programs promote a sense of belonging for all students as one means to student success. As faculty and staff become aware of their individual biases, we can journey towards implementing a more inclusive learning environment for student success.

The Regis University Spirit Team is thrilled to be a part of Regis Gives for the first time. We have worked hard to solidify our presence on campus as the official dance and cheer program, and we are humbled by the opportunity to reach our poms out for support from generous donors like you! This support means solidifying our foundation by hiring staff to increase our artistic disciplines and excellence, outfitting our team with inclusive uniforms and gear, and opening the ability to provide scholarships. Now and forever, the Spirit Team is dedicated to uplifting athletics and the entire Regis community through unity, positivity and perseverance.

Your generous contributions to Elevating Undergraduate Research will fuel undergraduate research, scholarly engagement and travel to professional conferences. Contributions will be shared across three funds: the Undergraduate Research, Inquiry and Scholarly Engagement (URISE) Program, the Father Shelton Psychology and Neuroscience Student Support Fund, and the Harry L. Taylor Fund for Student Research in Biology. Your gift will support the purchase of critical equipment and supplies, conference registration fees and travel costs and publication fees. These funds have enabled students to travel to attend conferences across the country to present the results of their scholarly and creative projects. Your support provides our undergraduates with impactful, life-changing experiences that empower them to make meaningful contributions to their fields.

The mission of University Ministry (UMin) is to journey with our campus community as we seek God in all things and explore the intersection of faith, spirituality and justice. Our work in University Ministry calls us to engage with the Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society of Jesus, Showing the Way to God, Walking with the Excluded, Journeying with Youth and Caring for our Common Home. Our retreat and immersion programs provide concrete opportunities for all Regis University students, regardless of faith or spiritual backgrounds, to encounter a sense of the sacred and learn more about their own call to accompany those on the margins and advocate for justice. Your support during Regis Gives day will continue our mission to provide transformative experiences, in the Jesuit tradition, accessible to all students, regardless of financial situation.

Regis University’s GLOBAL Inclusive Program is a collegiate academic certificate program for people with intellectual disabilities. The academic coursework and career exploration aim to prepare students for employment and independent living with the overall goal of self-sufficiency in adulthood. The program offers comprehensive programming in five key areas: academics, physical and emotional wellness, social engagement, career development and self-determination and independent living. We maximize inclusion in all aspects of the program; students take courses and engage in college life alongside their peers without intellectual disabilities.

The Health Careers Collaborative Mentoring Program is in its third year. HealthONE, Continental Division, Regis University and Xavier University of Louisiana are partners in offering this program. In this 2023-2024 academic year, we have 48 participants in the program (24 mentees and 24 mentors), with nearly 100 participants since the program began. Mentoring pairs are from a variety of health professions including health administration, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy and physical therapy. Mentees (Regis University and Xavier University of Louisiana students in our health professions colleges) and mentors (leaders working within HealthONE, Continental Division) are paired based on discipline.

Our HSI Student Success Program is a skill and capacity building program for first generation students, Latine students and all Regis students! This initiative supports the following high impact programs and practices: Summer Bridge, mentoring, student leadership, and Cura Personalis (care of the whole person). We focus on students who are new to college and those who are under resourced. With the right programs and support, students and Regis will thrive. This program is dedicated to creating an accessible channel for our students to share their gifts, build capacity and flourish in higher education.

Designing disability rights training for the ACLU, installing exhibits for the Museo de las Americas, assisting in research on health care inequities at the Anschutz Medical Campus, advocating for victims at the Jeffco Sheriff’s Office, facilitate programs for youth at Urban Peak, responding to constituent requests at the Colorado governor’s office--what do all of these experiences have in common? Students are finding connections with what they believe in, how they want to contribute in society and who they want to be. They are participating in real-world experience, authentic work, mentoring relationships, skills enhancement, and professional network growth. Your gift will allow us to continue the Internships for the Common Good Fund and offer students the Denver minimum wage ($18.30/hour) while developing workplace competencies and discerning their vocation.

The Ranger Co-Op is a one-stop-shop for Regis students and its campus-wide community offering complimentary assistance for weekly food needs and professional clothing attire for those who need it. The Ranger Co-Op aims to reduce any stigma related to food insecurity and tackles hunger by providing free food, hygiene products and more. In addition to food, the Ranger Co-Op offers professional clothing to students who are in the process of building their careers, providing free, gently used clothing to help make access to obtaining professional attire and professional success more accessible to all students. Supporting our project will directly help the Ranger Co-Op and its community by enhancing accessibility, inventory management and community support. The proposed initiatives include making the entrance ADA-compliant, improving inventory systems to reduce waste, implementing Share Meals technology to address food insecurity, providing new necessities and size-inclusive clothing options and establishing a dry-cleaning fund.

The Ranger Mental Skills Lab leverages sport participation as a conduit for mental health support in fundamental ways — building skills and psychological strategies that will help our athletes achieve exceptional performances in competition, while at the same time supporting their self-awareness and resilience in the face of life-challenges that they experience out of sports. The very same mental skills that support excellence in sport performance have been shown repeatedly to transfer to life — dealing with pressure, relationships, academic performance, anxiety and even bouts of depression. The Lab at Regis Athletics is intended to give our athletes an assist — to help them excel in their sport while protecting them against the mental health challenges that might be lurking around the next corner. It doesn’t matter how fast you are, none of us can outrun a restless mind. Let’s give the Lab a shot.

Led by professional MMA fighter Kathryn Paprocki (featured on ESPN+'s The Ultimate Fighter) your child, loved one and you can gain confidence and situational awareness all while getting in a solid workout!

Help Regis University provide the gift of an education with a donation to the Regis Scholarship Fund. This critical scholarship fund provides both need and merit-based assistance to students from any college or department across the University.

Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions will be hosting the Health Professions Summer Experience, an exciting and immersive weeklong camp designed for advanced high schoolers and college students with an interest in high-demand health care professions. This unique program offers a dynamic blend of hands-on activities, expert-led workshops and engaging sessions tailored to provide campers with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse fields within health care.

Support the Regis mission to provide an outstanding Jesuit education at the frontiers of faith, reason and culture with a gift to the RU Excellence Fund. Gifts to this fund support the areas of greatest need for the University including student scholarship support, teaching and research, student development needs, campus improvements, programmatic innovation and more.

RU First is a four-year program that helps those who are the first in their immediate family to attend a college or university to navigate the challenges of academia. Learn more about this program.

RUGIMSP is a medical immersion partnership with Regis University pre-professional healthcare students, an all volunteer professional medical team and Ciudad de la Esperanza in Coban, Guatemala. Ciudad de la Esperanza is a school and community center built next to the local landfill and serves very indigenous Mayans. Regis helps support a primary care clinic at Ciudad de la Esperanza, sending the student/medical team each spring. In their preparation they fundraise enough for their travel, as well as enough to bring a full pharmacy for a year for the clinic, and the stipend of a Guatemalan pediatrician who works at the clinic year round.

This course offers an immersive academic experience in the East African region, focusing on social justice issues in Rwanda and Uganda. students travel together for about 10 days, with immersive learning visits to NGOs and instruction from local leaders and communities.

Hailed by students as “the best class at Anderson,” the SEED Student Fellowship is a transformative sustainability leadership program, designed to form leaders in the Jesuit tradition by helping change-makers undergo personal transformation and hone the leadership skills necessary to exact social and environmental change. Now in its fourth year, the SEED Fellowship aims to help students cultivate a sustainability mindset, focused on ecoliteracy, systems intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and emotional intelligence. It also helps students to develop the leadership skills of self-awareness, communication, team-building, and conflict resolution. Throughout the semester, students engage in a personal consumption challenge and complete a community impact project based on the science of persuasion and behavior change. This Regis Gives Day, we seek to raise funds to help implement the impact projects and build community as well as bring leading-edge guest speakers to class.

Regis University is offering incarcerated men and women in Colorado the opportunity to earn college credit. The Inside/Out program pairs 18 incarcerated (inside) students with up to seven Regis (outside) students in a virtual simultaneous class. Instructors travel between the prisons and Regis to ensure that all students have a mixture of in-person and virtual instruction. Inside students take six liberal arts courses consecutively as a cohort. They earn 18 credits toward a Bachelor of Arts degree in a calendar year. According to a study by the U.S. Department of Justice and the RAND Corp., those who participate in a prison education program are 43% less likely to return to prison than those who do not. There is no more powerful tool against recidivism and in promotion of human dignity than education.

The Romero House Program offers the opportunity for five to eight Regis undergrads to live in an intentional learning community just off campus, who are provided room and board in return for their dedication to weekly service, deep engagement with the notions of spirituality and liberation theology presented in the accompanying class, and commitment to the pillars of simplicity, solidarity and justice that form the core of the program. Any donations to the Romero House Program go directly towards feeding, nurturing, and supporting each new generation of students to walk through this storied home, and helping to cover the costs of their yearly pilgrimage trip to El Salvador and Guatemala.
