Irish Community Scholarship

The Irish Community Scholarship was established to celebrate Irish and Irish American heritage and the impact of the Irish on the United States. Annual scholarships of up to $5,000 are awarded and renewable for a total of four years. You do not need to be of Irish descent to apply for this scholarship.
Application deadline: March 17
Scholarship Requirements
- Be an admitted, full-time undergraduate student working on your first bachelor's degree
- High school GPA must be 3.0 or above
- Submit the application on this page, including essay (1,000-1,500 words)
Essay Prompt
Submit an essay of 1,000-1,500 words about the impact of an Irish or Irish American individual on an American community. The essay can be about a current or historical subject and is meant to give you the opportunity to showcase your writing skills, originality and unique point of view. Please include word count and any relevant citations in your essay submission.
