B.S. Foundations in Pharmacy + Pharm.D.

From Community College to Doctor of Pharmacy in as Little as Four Years

If you’ve earned an A.S. degree in chemistry, biology or physics, Regis University’s B.S. in Foundations of Pharmacy + Pharm.D. program offers a streamlined path to becoming a licensed pharmacist — in just four years! This unique academic track allows you to build on the knowledge gained in your A.S. program with a customized, one-year undergraduate curriculum that fulfills all Pharm.D. prerequisites. After completing your first year, you’ll transition seamlessly into our three-year accelerated Pharm.D. program, meaning you can go from an A.S. degree to a licensed pharmacist in just four years — the same time it takes to earn a traditional bachelor’s degree.

Another key advantage? You’ll receive provisional admission to our Pharm.D. program before you even start at Regis. That means you’ll begin your studies knowing you have a clear, guaranteed pathway to achieving your goal of becoming a pharmacist. Plus, by completing your first-year Pharm.D. course work, you’ll also earn a B.S. in Foundations of Pharmacy along the way, giving you an additional credential to strengthen your academic and professional profile.

Eligibility

  • Earn an A.S. in chemistry, biology or physics before enrolling at Regis University.
  • Maintain a 2.75 GPA at Regis, with no grade lower than a C in any Pharm.D. prerequisite course.
  • Note: Students with an A.S. in Physics can complete the Pharm.D. program under all scenarios. However, to earn the B.S. in Foundations of Pharmacy, they must have completed at least one course in ethics, philosophy, or economics as part of their Arts & Humanities or Social Science electives before enrolling at Regis. They will have room in their first semester at Regis to take a second required course in one of these subjects. (A.S. Biology and Chemistry students who have not taken these electives in community college can complete them at Regis.)

Financial Aid

You’ll be eligible for financial aid during both undergraduate and Pharm.D. portions of the program. Your undergraduate financial aid will be determined during the admissions process, while aid for the Pharm.D. program will be arranged prior to matriculation.
