How long have you been teaching at Regis? And how long have you been teaching in the human resource management programs?
I have been teaching at Regis for 27 years. Human resource management classes have been my favorite classes to teach from the beginning.

What kind of professional expertise and knowledge do you bring to the human resources classroom?
I have held executive management positions in human resources for over 35 years in various industries such as health care, oil and gas, manufacturing and sales.

What type of student thrives in human resource management? What sort of talents and abilities are useful in the program?
Students who want to help their company be competitive and understand that employees are the most valuable asset to an organization. Also, students who want to seek a career in human resource management and become a strategic partner who can help an organization succeed.

Could you tell us about the professional opportunities available to human resource management graduates? What types of career paths and industries/fields do graduates gravitate toward?
The best thing about pursuing a career in human resource management is the fact that you can find career opportunities in almost any industry worldwide. The average salary for this type of leadership is frequently higher than other leadership positions within an organization and the need for individuals in human resource management is growing.

What advice would you give to someone who’s considering finishing their degree, continuing their education, or pursuing a degree for the first time as an adult?
Find your passion. If you do something that you truly enjoy, you will feel like you never worked a day in your life.

Is there anything else you’d like to mention about Regis University, the human resource management programs at Regis, or the human resources field in general?
When you work in human resources you will be in a position of influence. You will have a chance to influence the future of the company by developing the people around you and helping to build teams that are engaged and motivated. Human resource professionals are on the front line of problem solving and there is a lot of gratification from being in this position.
