Advisor: An academic resource who can assist with registering for courses and planning your academic path towards completing your degree
Anderson: Anderson College of Business and Computing

Blue & Gold Weekend: held each fall, Blue & Gold Weekend is an annual celebration for alumni, parents and families of Regis to show their Ranger Pride
Boettcher Commons: the hub of our Northwest Denver campus, also referred to as "the Quad"
Bookstore: See "Ranger Station"

The Caf: a common phrase for students to use when referring to the main dining cafe in our Student Center
Commuter: A Regis student who does not live on campus, but rather commutes to campus on a regular basis for class
Contemplatives in Action: one of the foundational Jesuit values, reminding us to not just think about social problems but to take action to address them
Counseling Services: Offering counseling and mental health services to students
Cura Personalis: one of the foundational Jesuit values, meaning "care for the whole person"

DCH: David Clarke Hall
Dean: An academic leader who oversees a college or academic department
Dean of Students: An administrative leader responsible for the coordination of student-related programs and overseeing student well-being, student advocacy and resource referral
DML: Dayton Memorial Library

Finding God in All Things: One of the foundational Jesuit values, inviting us to search for and find God in every circumstance of life
First Generation Student: Defined as a student whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have not graduated from a 4-year college or university, meaning the student is the first in their immediate family to graduate from a higher education institution
First Tracks: Hosted by Outdoor Programs and Recreation (OPR), First Tracks is an adventure program for incoming students hosted every summer prior to Ranger Welcome Weekend
Front Porch: Regis University's student housing portal, where you can apply for housing or an exemption, find out about your new roommate and more

PCH: Peter Claver Hall
Phys Plant: Short for Physical Plant, the main department overseeing facilities, grounds and campus maintenance
Provost: Also known as the Chief Academic Officer, the Provost oversees all academic activity at the University

Ranger Portal (rangerportal.regis.edu): Your go-to destination for all things related to your student account, including paying your tuition bill, viewing financial aid disbursements, setting up a payment plan and more
Ranger Station: The Regis bookstore located in Regis Square, and your one-stop-shop for textbooks, school supplies and Regis gear. The Ranger Station Fanzone is a satellite shop located in Clarke Hall, and is home to a Starbucks and a smaller selection of Regis apparel and swag.
Ranger Welcome Weekend: Each year in August, Ranger Welcome Weekend includes new student move-in as well as activities and programs aimed at welcoming new students to the Regis community.
RC: Regis College. Also commonly used to refer to a core class
RCC: Official course prefix commonly used for core classes
Regi the Ranger: Our beloved fox, Regi is the University’s official mascot – Regi is a firm believer in lighthearted fun and cura personalis, and always seeks to reflect our University’s values, inspire our community, build fellowship and celebrate Ranger pride
RegisNET: Our internal network and your main Regis login credentials. Your RegisNET ID and password are used to log in to your Regis email, WebAdvisor, WorldClass and more. If you have not set up your RegisNET ID yet, please contact your admissions counselor
RHCHP: Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions
RUSGA: Regis University Student Government Association, the governance entity charged to be the voice of the students

SOAR: An acronym for Starting Out At Regis, SOAR encompasses experiences and programming involved with a student's journey through their first year at Regis University
Student Life: Part of HESL that aims at providing opportunities for students to engage and create the Regis experience they are looking for

Traditional Students: Refers to students who take classes at Regis full-time, on campus
Transfer Students: Students who began their academic career at another institution and transfer completed credits to Regis University
U
UMin: Short for University Ministry
Unity of Mind and Heart: One of the foundational Jesuit values, reminding us that in order to be our best self, we must ensure our mind, heart and soul are working together in unison
V
VAVP: Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention
W
WorldClass (worldclass.regis.edu): Regis University's learning management system (LMS). Online courses are hosted through WorldClass, and many on-campus courses have WorldClass components as well
Workday (ruworks.regis.edu): Your hub for student employment. If you are eligible for a work-study position, log in to Workday to search job postings, input your hours and view your paystubs
