Shanna Knierim

Shanna Knierim is an Assistant Professor in Loretto Heights School of Nursing, teaching pediatrics, among other courses, to undergraduate and graduate nursing students. As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, she brings a life-long passion for serving vulnerable populations, 10 years of clinical experience and a background in clinical leadership and research. Prior to joining Regis University, she led the creation of a multidisciplinary pediatric obesity clinic at Denver Health, designed to help youth with obesity and health comorbidities achieve a healthier lifestyle. Shanna is also an artist, primarily working in watercolor and oils. While originally a Wisconsin native, Shanna, together with her husband and two children, now calls Colorado home, enjoying the four seasons, soccer Saturdays, and ski season.
