I was born in Guatemala and raised in the Far Northeast area of Denver. As a proud first-generation college graduate, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing from the University of Colorado, followed by a Master of Arts in Secondary Education, and a Ph.D. in Critical Studies in Education.
Throughout my career, I have led impactful initiatives covering outreach, student affairs, and international education. Most recently, l organized a series of events for Native American Heritage Month aimed at promoting cultural awareness and fostering a keen sense of community both on and off campus.
