Health Services Managers are in charge of the operation of one or multiple health care facilities such as hospitals and nursing homes. Health Service Managers typically handle multiple aspects of the facility such as finances, hiring and training new employees and keeping track of patient records.
Clinical Informaticist
The main role of a Clinical Informaticist is to design, test and eventually put into effect applications for clinical areas. Clinical Informaticists can expect to work with a variety of clients such as consulting services firms or health care agencies.
Informatics Manager
Informatics Managers oversee the use of electronic record systems in healthcare facilities. In addition to overseeing the systems and making sure they are operating well, Informatics Managers also train employees on how to use the electronic system.
HIM Director
Health Information Management Directors are responsible for the business side of healthcare operations. Health Information Management Directors should expect to work with a variety of different people across the health care system as they serve as the communication buffer between providers and patients.
Clinical Analyst
Clinical Analysts are responsible for the management of all technology systems for hospitals. On a daily basis, a Clinical Analyst can expect to make sure that all the systems are running correctly and troubleshoot any issues that may come up with the systems.
Medical Data Manager
Medical Data Managers are responsible for gathering medical data on a variety of topics such as what medications have worked, what medications haven't worked, and how patients have responded to certain treatments. Medical Data Managers should expect to report this data to help improve the treatment of patients and the general operation of medical sites.
