Eligibility and Billing
Medical Services is able to bill your medical insurance for reimbursement of a broad spectrum of illness and injury, both acute and chronic. Medical Services does not treat faculty, staff, workmen's compensation and motor vehicle accident cases.
Insurance Billing
Health insurance coverage is mandatory for all full-time traditional undergraduate students enrolled at Regis University or in the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions. If you are without private/group health insurance, the Regis Medical Insurance Plan underwritten by Anthem BCBS is available for purchase. Please carry your insurance card at all times.
Regis students will be responsible for co-pay charges at the time of service. Medical Services will bill insurance for reimbursement when provided with current insurance information. Charges not paid by the insurance company become the responsibility of the student. Students who self-pay will be charged for in house labs, procedures and prescriptions at the time of service.
Perscriptions and Over-the-Counter Medication
Over-the-counter medications are provided at no charge. An appropriate range of prescription drugs are provided at a low cost and are payable at the time of service. Prescription medication provided at Regis Medical Services cannot be billed to existing insurance except for the Regis Student Medical Insurance plan.
Referrals
Off-campus referrals and emergency services are at the student's expense, however your health insurance may cover these costs.
Confidentiality
All information discussed within counseling sessions is kept confidential. The only exceptions to this are if you are in imminent danger of hurting yourself or others, make a threat regarding a specific location on campus and/or disclose any type of abuse or neglect regarding a minor child or elder adult. In these instances we are mandated by law to report this to the appropriate agencies or intervene as necessary.
