What did you value most about your time at Regis? I value the opportunity to learn about myself and the world and try a diverse number of courses and activities. I started at Regis thinking I wanted to go into engineering, took some science classes and quickly realized that wasn't my strength, enjoyed math enough that I got a minor, but ultimately loved the creativity, analytics, and psychology of Marketing.
What’s the most valuable thing you got out of the marketing classes you took? It's funny to think back on the marketing classes I took over 10 years ago at Regis. The most valuable things were probably the foundational marketing principles. The individual tactics, examples, and case studies will change with the times, but the same basic principles still ring true. For some context, in 2008 - 2010 when I was taking these marketing courses, social media was the shiny new thing. Businesses at that point were still debating whether "social media made sense" or not. My first job out of school, one of the things I did was transfer business from personal profiles to business pages on Facebook. Even in the quick decade since I graduated, platforms like Google+, Foursquare, and Yik Yak have gone, and new players like Snapchat, WhatsApp, and TikTok are mainstream. The thing to remember is that the products, pricing, placements, and promotions will always work their way into where consumers' eyes and attention are.

What’s the most valuable thing you got out of the marketing classes you took? The most valuable thing I learned in my marketing classes is the understanding of how psychology can be leveraged in how one can connect with people.

What did you value most about your time at Regis? Regis offered me a space to become more curious, action-oriented, and community-focused than I otherwise would have. It was the perfect environment to get a high-quality business education and the motivation to deploy it in service of the common good.
What’s the most valuable thing you got out of the marketing classes you took? The marketing curriculum I studied at Regis was leaps and bounds ahead of what "normal" marketing degrees provide. Marketing is very hard to teach, as it's changing every day, but the Regis faculty worked tirelessly to ensure students received a modern, applicable understanding of consumer behavior that proved invaluable from the outset of my career.

What did you value most about your time at Regis? What I value the most was the ability to create my own business and entrepreneurship club. Regis and the professors gave me the ability to create a family and create something that had not been done before.
What’s the most valuable thing you got out of the marketing classes you took? One of the most valuable things that I got out of the marketing class was being able to work on projects that gave me real hands-on experience. I also truly value the accessibility that Dr. Schneider had with us. The one-on-one time with your professors really makes a difference.

What did you value most about your time at Regis? The small class sizes at Regis were invaluable. Not only did my professors know my name, but they knew me at a personal level and they took the time to help me one-on-one whenever I needed. As a student athlete, I felt that I had the support of the school and the professors both in the classroom and on the field.
What’s the most valuable thing you got out of the marketing classes you took? What I valued most out of the marketing classes I took was the feeling that I could go anywhere with my degree. I felt that the information I learned was well rounded and I could see myself pursuing different routes after graduation.

What did you value most about your time at Regis? Small class sizes! This allowed an exceptional learning experience that encouraged my participation, even in subjects that stretched my thinking. Small class sizes also meant being able to form solid professional relationships with my professors, many of which have been an incredible asset post-graduation. Secondly, the interdisciplinary nature of Regis' content was not only engaging, but it encouraged me to think about things differently. This has served me well in the professional world in the way that it granted me experience understanding (and solving) problems at unique intersections.
What’s the most valuable thing you got out of the marketing classes you took? Experience in synthesizing a variety of perspectives. The breadth of content covered in my marketing courses granted me exposure to a variety of parties of thought. This gave me a well-rounded understanding of not only marketing as a practice, but also business, and capitalism, more broadly. The perspectives that I personally took on during my time at Regis served (and continues to serve) as a differentiator in interviews and roles that I've taken on.
