Dr. Sarah Masten incorporates more than twenty years of health care experience with a passion for evidence-based practice as a professor at the Loretto Heights School of Nursing. Dr. Masten is also a practicing Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Prior to advanced practice, she specialized in neurology and neurosurgical nursing. Her passion for high quality, evidence-based care has led her to participate in policy and process improvement across several organizations.
As a part of the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions, Dr. Masten seeks to partner with students on their journey of professional development. She believes that education is critical to improving access to healthcare for underserved populations. She is also an advocate for advancing the profession of nursing.
