Rebecca Betjemann

Dr. Betjemann grew up in NW Indiana near Chicago, and received her A.B. in Psychology from Brown University. After graduation she spent two years in Boston, where she worked as a research assistant on creation of a survey to assess substance abuse treatment need. She attended the University of Denver for her graduate studies, where she worked on a twin study of reading disability and ADHD. She received her Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from DU with a specialization in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience in 2005. Dr. Betjemann continued her research with the twin study doing genetic analyses for three years in a Post-Doctoral research fellowship at the Institute for Behavioral Genetics at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She continues to research reading and learning differences in college students, behavioral genetics of learning differences, and social bias. Dr. Betjemann has been at Regis since 2008, teaching courses that include Research Methods, Learning, Sensation & Perception, Behavioral Genetics, and Developmental Disabilities.
