John Arman

Dr. John Arman, Ph.D., LPC completed his doctoral work in Counselor Education and Supervision at The University of New Mexico in 1998. He then went on to work as the Coordinator of the School Counselor program at the University of Colorado-Denver from 1998-2002. He continued his work at Heidelberg University in Ohio from 2003-2005 when he then came back to Colorado in August of 2005 to work in the Counseling Program at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. He has remained at Regis and has become a Full Professor, Ignatian Scholar and Ignatian Faculty Fellow since that time. Dr. Arman is a Professor at Regis University in the Department of Counseling which is housed within the School of Mental and Behavioral Health (SMBH) and, overall, in the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions (RHCHP). He serves as the Internship Coordinator for the Counseling Program, teaches a variety of courses, sits/chairs on various committees at the University, College and Division level and is on faculty for the Certificate in Counseling Children and Adolescents (CCA). In the CCA, he is the course lead for the MCPY 677 Counseling Pre-adolescents and Adolescents course and teaches the class with regularity. He is passionate about counseling adolescents and teaching students to counsel young people with the same passion and zeal. He instituted a Flipped Learning Pedagogical model three years ago in the Counseling Adolescents course and has been working to refine his delivery model.
