Jerry Goings retired with 32 years of public education experience in 2015, with 16 years in the classroom as a history teacher and 16 years as an administrator. His last 10 years he served as principal of Highlands Ranch High School. Goings believes that leadership is essential for students to succeed in our K-12 educational systems, and is passionate about Educational Leadership and strongly believes in leading with the power of influence by building strong relationships.
Goings earned his BA degree from Regis University in 1982 and is honored to return as a faculty member. He earned an MA in Secondary Education from Adams State University. In addition, Goings earned an Educational Leadership/Principal Licensure Certificate from Denver University. He continues to be a member of CASE and NASSP, state and national level organizations for K-12 school administrators. He also continues to attend yearly conferences and trainings associated with Educational Leadership.
Recently, Goings was inducted into the Highlands Ranch High School Hall of Fame for his 10-years of service as principal. He is honored to be recognized as the STEP-Emergenetics Associate of the Year in 2018 for his work with STEP-Emergenetics at the University level.
