Heidi Eigsti

Board-Certified Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy

Dr. Eigsti is the Associate Dean of the Division of Physical Therapy and she celebrates over 25 years of service at Regis University. Dr. Eigsti is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy and post-professional physical therapy programs. She coordinates assessment of academic operations to support quality improvement, system design and compliance with accreditation standards. She has been a practicing pediatric physical therapist for more than 30 years, is an APTA Board Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist and earned her PhD in Pediatric Science from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. In 2014, she was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society recognized for her commitment to service and coordination of DPT global immersion experiences. She has published and presented nationally on research related to leadership and intercultural development and interprofessional models of service delivery. Dr. Eigsti serves on the Institutional Review Board at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She is a reviewer for the of Pediatric Physical Therapy Journal and the Journal of Physical Therapy Education. Dr. Eigsti served on the Colorado Interagency Coordinating Council which is appointed by the Governor to advise and assist the State in implementing services and supports to families with children who have disabilities. Dr. Eigsti has teaching responsibilities related to psychosocial aspects of health care, pediatric practice, leadership and intercultural sensitivity.
