Chris grew up in Aurora, Colorado and has lived in this state for sixty years. He has taught mostly beginning level Spanish at Regis University for the last twenty years.
Having begun his Spanish studies at the age of forty, he knows what it is like to learn Spanish in the classroom. He learned to read, write and understand Spanish at Metropolitan State University of Denver (where he also taught for many years), but he learned to speak in Spain, where he completed his master’s degree at the Middlebury campus in Madrid.
When not teaching he has pursued wildlife photography and his bird photos have been published in the online field guide Whatbird. He has also served as faculty advisor for the Regis “Pub Club,” teaching pocket billiards to Regis students, running weekly tournaments and the Regis Eight-Ball championship.
