Bianca Calderon

Bianca Calderon, Pharm.D. is Associate Dean for Interprofessional Education at Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions and a Professor of Pharmacy Practice. Dr. Calderon has practiced as a clinical pharmacist on interprofessional teams in integrated primary care clinics and acute care in a cancer center. In her teaching and precepting of students and residents, she incorporates social, economic, and cultural factors that can impact health outcomes. Dr. Calderon strives to improve the health of individuals, support communities through education and service, and optimize medications based on factors such as effectiveness, safety, and affordability. Dr. Calderon is passionate about interprofessional education in preparing healthcare professionals for interprofessional collaboration and teamwork in their future practice. Dr. Calderon teaching and research interests include Team-Based Learning, interprofessional education, and healthcare simulation with pharmacy, medical, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, counseling, and marriage and family therapy students. Dr. Calderon completed a postgraduate Pharmacy Practice Residency and Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship with a focus in Geriatrics.
