Allana Sucher

Dr. Allana Sucher is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and one of the first Board Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacists in the country. Dr. Sucher teaches primarily infectious diseases in the Integrated Pharmacotherapy Sequence in the School of Pharmacy’s integrated, Team-Based Learning curriculum. Dr. Sucher practices as an infectious disease/antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist at St. Anthony North Health Campus, where she also precepts fourth-year pharmacy students. Dr. Sucher’s publications and abstracts have appeared in such journals as The American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, The Annals of Pharmacotherapy, U.S. Pharmacist, Pharmacy Today, and The Consultant Pharmacist. Her research interests include antimicrobial stewardship, scholarship of teaching and learning, and evidence-based medicine for the treatment of infectious diseases. Her main goal as a teacher and preceptor is for students to not only understand and retain information, but to develop critical thinking skills that will enhance their ability to perform as effective practitioners.
