Nidawin Preston

Nidawin Preston is the Administrative Coordinator for the Regis College First Year Experience, Honors Program and English Department. She is also a Faculty Mentor for the RU First Scholars Leadership Seminar I course. Nidawin’s service to the Regis Community includes serving as a lead member of the University Land Acknowledgement work group, which contributed to the crafting of the University Land Acknowledgement statement. She is also a member of the working group organizing the on-campus Indian Boarding School Vigil and is a member of the working group leading the Purification Ceremony for the whole Regis campus. She has been a college representative on the University Diversity Council since 2019.

Nidawin holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Colorado, Denver, a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in Native American Studies from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and an associate degree in arts management from Community College of Denver.

Nidawin is a self-taught seamstress who enjoys sewing applique and she loves Native American art, music and pottery.
