Dave Francois has been a writer at Regis University for more than six years, where he combines his passion for storytelling with his deep commitment to education. He earned his master’s in marketing from Regis in 2021, further solidifying his connection to the university. Originally from Connecticut, Dave has called Colorado home for over a decade.
Before joining Regis, Dave honed his marketing and strategic communication skills in the hospitality industry, worked as a journalist and editor for a startup news app and interned at National Geographic in Washington, DC. His career journey began with a transformative experience as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for service and cultural exchange. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from George Washington University.
Outside of work, Dave enjoys traveling, learning languages, reading, writing fiction, camping and climbing Colorado's iconic 14ers. When he’s not exploring the great outdoors, he's in the kitchen experimenting with cooking and fermentation projects, or unwinding with his partner, Kay, and their 17-year-old shih tzu.
Through his writing, Dave strives to share meaningful stories that inspire others, reflecting Regis’ mission to create a more just and humane world.
