Dr. McGuire was a full-time faculty member of Regis University from 1999-2016. She received her Doctorate in Human Services with a specialization in Health Care Administration from Capella University, her Master of Health Care Management from Central Michigan University and her Diploma in Nursing from St. Joseph Hospital. Additionally, she earned a Certificate in Managing Organizational Transition.
Dr. McGuire worked for over 37 years in the health care field as both a clinician and a manager encompassing acute care, long-term care, psychiatric care and ambulatory care. She had management responsibility for psychiatric clinical services, nursing services, medical staff services, quality management, utilization management, discharge planning, risk management and infection control.
Her research interests involved health promotion and worksite wellness programs. Her content expertise was in the areas of Health Care Management, Quality Improvement, Managed Care and Organizational Change. Maureen has taught the following courses: Communication in the Health Care Setting, Legal Aspects of Health Care, Advanced Concepts in Quality and Outcomes and Organizational Change.
