Julie Benz’s philosophy of teaching was to meet the student where they are and help them grow into a practicing nursing professional. Believing that clinical practice is the best highway to developing clinical judgment, she used patient stories and cases to offer content and interventions to students. Her clinical passion has been in the care of heart attack patients and those needing resuscitation. Her clinical work involved weaving the practices of many disciplines and worked to coordinate the most effective, efficient care delivery for those at the worst time in their lives.
