Judy Thomas taught accounting and finance for over 22 years. She worked in the accounting profession for over 25 years before becoming a full-time professor. Judy worked in many different industries including manufacturing, telecommunications, consulting services, and the federal government. Judy served on the Colorado State Board of Accountancy for eight years. Judy is currently a board member and the board liaison to the Supervisory Committee for her credit union. Furthermore, she worked on the Accounting Education Committee with the Colorado Society of CPAs and the Communications Committee with National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.
Judy is a Regis University graduate and takes pride in that fact. As a Regis graduate she feels she brought to her job the Jesuit values instilled in her during her time at Regis. These values include: promoting human dignity, striving for better, pursuit of justice for all, education of the whole person, action to address social problems, and finding God in all things. What this means to her is that she is dedicated and committed to making a difference for the good of all.
