Dr. Betsy Hall was the Associate Dean of the Division of Counseling and Family Therapy. She came to Regis in 2005. Prior to her retirement from the role as Associate Dean, Betsy was the Assistant Dean of the Division for 6 years. Betsy earned a Bachelors in Religious Studies, a Masters in Clinical Social Work, and a Masters and Ph.D. in Mythological Studies with an emphasis in Depth Psychology. Aside from her administrative responsibilities, Betsy taught clinical classes in the Master of Arts in Counseling program and in the Depth Psychotherapy post-graduate certificate. She has been a practicing psychotherapist for over 35 years, specializing in the treatment of trauma, relational problems, life transitions and depression. Her research interests concern how the use of sacred stories and ritual enhance clinical training and psychotherapeutic practice. Betsy is the author of one book, Psychotherapy’s Pilgrim Poet: The Inside Story. She previously served as the Clinical Coordinator at Arapahoe Douglas Mental Health Center and has served on several non-profit boards.
