Barbara W. Lepke-Sims is the Applied Harp instructor for Regis. She is an active and well-known professional harpist in the Denver area since she earned her Master of Music at The Juilliard School in 1978 studying under Susann McDonald. Barbara earned her MBA in 1986.
Barbara performs as a soloist, with chamber ensembles and local orchestras. President George H. W. Bush called Barbara the Harpist of the Presidents because of her experience playing for Presidents, Dignitaries and VIPs.
Having been active in the American Harp Society for over 30 years, Barbara received their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the USA International Harp Competition (USAIHC).
Since 2009, Barbara has also played for local healthcare facilities and has served on the MHTP Board of Directors.Centura Health, where Barbara serves as Healing Arts Program Coordinator, became the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts2020Honoree.
