Andrea earned her doctorate in Higher and Adult Education from The University of Michigan and worked for several years as a faculty member at Purdue University. Over the past two decades she has gained experience as an internal and external evaluator, nonprofit board member, consultant, and author. Her consulting and evaluation work with nonprofits and social enterprises has included a variety of clients: Northwestern University, Hope International, Compassion International, National Academy of Sciences, and National Science Foundation.
For more than two decades, Andrea has also conducted research on cross-cultural dynamics and international development, including research focused on international students, foreign- born faculty, and social enterprises operating in the Majority World. Andrea's forthcoming book, Strong Together: Building Partnerships across Cultures in an Age of Distrust, examines the human complexities of international development work from both American and Majority World perspectives. It is scheduled for release in Winter 2023. She is a Senior Associate of the National Institute for Social Impact and President of Catalyst Research LLC.
