Photos: Regis hosts AJCU Diversity and Equity Network Conference

Regis University hosted 120 participants from eight Jesuit and nine Colorado colleges and universities for the AJCU Diversity and Equity Network Conference. The event marked the first time the Network has met in person since 2019. This year, the theme was “Transforming our Institutions for Love and Justice.”

Through a generous sponsorship by our partner TIAA, Gina Garcia, Ph.D., UC Berkeley leading scholar of Hispanic-Serving Institutions, served as keynote speaker. Her presentation, "Transforming Hispanic Serving Institutions for Equity and Justice,” was followed by two days of breakout sessions that focused on a number of different DEI topics, including serving students with disabilities; serving BIPOC first-generation students; sustaining campus DEI efforts through fundraising; and building servingness and community engagement as a Jesuit HSI. JP Morgan served as the sponsor for the celebratory final banquet. The mood throughout the conference was one of gratitude for one another and solidarity in the work of serving our students.
