Regis University Partners with Rocky Vista University for new dual degree
Regis will offer a Master’s in Health Services Administration to current students and alumni of Rocky Vista
Beginning in March, Regis University will offer a unique dual degree program for current students and alumni of Rocky Vista University. Students who are currently enrolled in the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program or alumni of this program at Rocky Vista will be able to receive a Master of Science in Health Services Administration (MS-HSA) through Regis.
The MS-HSA program focuses on the business of healthcare. The curriculum includes strategic planning, human resource management, healthcare reimbursement, leadership, finance, health policy and law, among other industry-specific options.
“We’re very excited for Regis to partner with Rocky Vista University. The MS-HSA program focuses on building leaders in the business of healthcare. This new program will elevate the education of those receiving their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine,” said Linda Osterlund, Ph.D, academic dean of the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions.
She continues, “While clinicians work on quality patient care, administrators build and maintain quality structures, systems, and policies where patients receive care and clinicians provide care.”
The Rocky Vista-Regis partnership will supply the healthcare market with in-demand and specialized professionals possessing both clinical and administrative expertise. Those with education and experience in medicine and administration have a powerful combination to transform the health systems for the better.
The degree is offered completely online and asynchronously, which allows for students to conveniently fulfill their coursework requirements and other academic demands. Health care is an increasingly complex environment in which to work and, as a result, many healthcare leadership positions now require an MS-HSA.
Regis University and Rocky Vista University will be holding a virtual learning session on at 6 p.m. on Feb. 8 to provide additional information to those interested. You can RSVP for the virtual session by emailing mbosworth@regis.edu.
