Temple University partners with Regis for special pharmacy master’s degree
The Regis University School of Pharmacy and the Temple University School of Pharmacy jointly announce that as of the Fall 2021 semester, Regis Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program students will have the option to simultaneously pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Global Clinical and Pharmacovigilance Regulations (GCPR) through Temple. Regis students who choose this option will begin Temple’s MS in GCPR curriculum in their third professional year.
Temple’s Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance (RAQA) Graduate Program was the first of its kind when it was launched in 1968. Today, it is long established as a fully online academic program for launching or advancing careers in pharmaceutical and related industries and with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The MS curriculum fulfills the regulatory requirements for training, provides a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical development process, and exposes students to domestic and international regulations combined with quality principles and practice. The MS in GCPR specifically examines the clinical regulations and safety monitoring of therapeutic products.
“This partnership aligns both Temple and Regis schools of pharmacy with pharmaceutical and regulatory industry staffing trends. Roles for Pharm.D.s in these sectors continue to evolve and grow. It is our shared responsibility to ensure the availability of a high-quality pool of talent,” Temple School of Pharmacy Dean Jayanth Panyam, Ph.D., said.
Regis students can learn from Temple’s adjunct faculty of nearly 100 experts in the FDA and the regulated industries of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and biopharmaceuticals. They will progress alongside and network with Temple students. Professionals at all career levels in pharmacological-related fields make up the majority of the current student body.

This is a great service for our students and for our expanding industry.”
