Break Barriers, Build Bridges
In times of trouble and uncertainty, it’s understandable to focus your attention on yourself and your immediate situation. It’s also tempting to want to turn the news off, close out the world and lose yourself in a Netflix-fueled daydream. But now, more than ever, it’s become clear that the entire planet is interconnected—an event in one country can have huge implications on the other side of the world just weeks later.
If you’re looking to become a positive force in a rapidly changing world, look no further than the Master of Development Practice program at Regis. Communities around the world are facing unprecedented challenges—food insecurity, climate change, inequality, water shortages and natural disasters. At the same time, there has never been a greater opportunity to improve the material conditions and quality of life of billions of people.
At Regis, we understand that tackling these global challenges requires diverse perspectives and fiercely original thinking. That’s why we approach development from multiple angles, including health, engineering, climate, economics, culture, gender and politics. Our program gives you the tools and experience you need to successfully partner with global communities and empower real, lasting, positive change.
The world is our classroom—which is why our classes are broadcast live from The Posner Center, meaning you can attend in person or from anywhere on Earth with an internet connection. Over the course of 2-3 years, you’ll learn with and from students of all ages, who come from a wide diversity of cultures, geographic locations and life experiences.
Our Jesuit values deeply influence our program, with an emphasis on social justice, environmental stewardship and sustainable development initiatives. If you aren’t ready to commit to a graduate program, no worries. Check out our Certificate in Development Practice, which includes four foundational seminar courses and three skill modules from our catalog of interdisciplinary offerings.
