Alumni Weekend 2010 is July 9-10. The Regis University Alumni Association and your reunion committees have an itinerary of great activities planned for the weekend. Destination spots include Regis University, Loretto Heights College and sites in the Denver-Metro area.
Some of you Regis grads remember beanies and the twelve-mile hike to the Loretto Heights campus your freshman “frosh” year. What about Ernie’s, Billy’s Inn, the Pipeline Coffeehouse and Belial Bar or the Dedication of DeSmet Student Union? You cheered on Ranger athletics, played intramural sports, performed with the Ramblers and hung out with friends on Boettcher Commons. And events like Ranger Day, Dorm Olympics, Thursday Night Thrills, bowling and Senior Countdown might seem like they happened yesterday.
Others of you have fond memories of Loretto Heights College, including dances with the Regis men. The 1960 reunion class might recall Loretto Day, the Christmas Banquet, bridge games and the Star Nights Performances.
All of you no doubt remember the faculty and staff who made your days at Regis and Loretto Heights memorable and inspirational. And of course, 1969 was the year Regis went co-ed, so many of you recall the watchful eyes of Father Houlihan, dean of men, and Connie Keogh, dean of women.
No matter what your graduation year, there is much to remember from your time as an undergraduate. Plane, train or automobile, we hope you will stamp your passport in Denver and Regis University this summer. A great celebration awaits you!
