College Life at its Best
For over 50 years Regis has been celebrating Ranger Days. The tradition is to “kick off” the week with the ever popular and wildly competitive Powder Puff Football tournament on the Boetcher Commons. Follow that up with a visit from hypnotist Jim Wand – who regularly packs the house with 600 students – and you’ve got yourself the making of a great start to Ranger Week. It’s difficult to tell whether the culmination of Ranger Week is Ranger Day – a full day of music, food and fun activities – or the annual Mr. Regis Contest and fireworks display that follows. Some things have to been seen to be believed and Mr. Regis is one of those things. There’s competitive eating, there’s some sort of talent (generously defined), dancing (generally involving hairy legs and coconut bras) and of course there is the obligatory short-answer round.
