Complete Your Application
The 2013-2014 academic year admissions cycle is now open. Students may apply online using the link below. For questions or concerns, please email our team.
Application cycle, deadline and waiting list
- Admissions to the program are rolling, and the online application form is made available in mid- January for admission the following August. Therefore, early application provides an advantage in gaining admission because spaces in the class are filled throughout the spring. We recommend student applications be received in full (electronically submitted application, mailed transcripts, standardized-test score, and recommendation letters) by May 1 for the best opportunity for admission.
- All complete applications received by May 31 will be given full consideration by the admissions committee within the context or remaining space in the class.
- Students who have completed applications before May 31 will be notified of their admissions status by mid-June, if not sooner.
- Applications received in June and July from students who were on waiting-lists for professional health programs (e.g., medical school, dental school) and who have been released from those lists will be given special consideration and are encouraged to apply.

- Students applying who were on waiting lists should indicate the program and school waiting-list from which they were released. Applications received in June and July from other prospective students also will be considered, but, given the pattern of how the class has filled in the past, likely will be considered only for the M.S. in Biomedical Sciences waiting-list. The waiting list will remain active through July.
- The program has one annual start date in August and therefore does not have a January start admissions cycle.
- Biomedical Masters Program courses begin the third week of August. Students who will need to relocate may be granted acceptance until the first of August. Students who reside within the Denver/Boulder metro area may be granted acceptance up until the start date.

Application Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- A suggested undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 3.00 from the baccalaureate degree-granting institution. Earned graduate credits may be considered in the GPA requirement as approved by the program director. Students with GPAs between 2.7 and 2.99 will be considered, but must be aware that this is below our usual range.
- A valid exam score from the exam corresponding to your goal program.* (MCAT, DAT, GRE, PCAT, etc…). Prospective students may substitute the GRE general exam score if they have not yet taken their specific exam. Applications may be submitted pending exam scores, but will not be reviewed by the admissions committee until the official score is received.
-
Three letters of recommendation from professors or professionals in your intended field. One letter
must be from a professor of natural sciences.* Character references from friends or family will not fulfill this requirement. Letters from teaching assistants are also not acceptable, unless co-signed by the course professor. All letters must be received via e-mail or US post directly from the writer or a letter service.”
Completion of the following pre-requisite collegiate coursework with a grade of C or higher from a regionally accredited college or university.
- A year of general or introductory biology for science students with laboratories.
- A year of general and/or inorganic chemistry for science students with laboratories.
- A semester of collegiate mathematics (statistics recommended).
- A course in English composition.
- A year of humanities courses (e.g., courses in art history, classics, ethics, history, literature, music history, music theory, philosophy, religious studies, theology).
*The natural science and mathematics course work must have been completed within the last six years.
- A year of organic chemistry, a year of physics, a second semester of collegiate mathematics, and a semester of genetics also are recommended. Students who intend to go on to PA programs should have had organic chemistry and at least two psychology courses in addition to the standard requirements. It is strongly recommended that students have all the course prerequisites for their health-program of interest completed before entering the Biomedical Master's program.
- The program director may allow substitution of other coursework for specifically identified prerequisite courses, may waive the prerequisite grade requirement, may include graduate course work in GPA calculations, or may waive the within-six-years requirement for science courses on a case-by-case basis.
To request consideration for a requirement/prerequisite waiver, a course substitution, or inclusion of graduate course work in GPA calculation send an email with your full name, contact information, when you plan to apply, the specific details of your request and the rationale for your request.
We welcome conditional acceptees of other programs as applicants. If you are holding a conditional acceptance from an M.D., D.O. or D.D.S. program that requires the completion of a program like ours, please see our FAQ page for more instructions.

We welcome international student applications within the following guidelines:
1) Previous U.S. education — A bachelor’s level (BS or BA) degree from an accredited institution located in the United States is required. The program currently does not have the systems in place to support students who have not studied in the United States previously.
2) English Proficiency — Our program is language intensive. If English is not your native language, we request that you submit a TOEFL score. Successful students will have a TOEFL score of 90 points or higher on the internet test (or equivalent for other formats), with no individual skill section below 20 points. Scores must be less than two years old and received directly from TOEFL. TOEFL requirements are waived for students with an MCAT of 30+, a DAT of 19+ or a GRE Verbal score of 155+.
3) Admissions Plan — Admission to U.S. medical, dental and other healthcare schools is extremely competitive and especially difficult for international students. Therefore, our admissions committee must see a fit for your career progression with our program. As a part of your application, in addition to your essay, please send us an outline of a clear and reasonable plan for the continuation of your education and career beyond our program. This explanation needs to be more in-depth than just an intention to attend a certain program. Please also understand that completion of our program in no way guarantees entry to any further program, school or field of employment.
4) Visa Confirmation — Regis University does not provide visa or immigration assistance. All visas or related documents must be completely arranged by you or your designee. Your confirmed visa information must be sent to the program coordinator at least one month prior to the program start date.
5) Financial Information — Students need to work with our financial aid office to meet the financial requirements. International students will initially receive conditional acceptance which will be confirmed as official acceptance after the receipt of visa and financial documents. After you receive conditional admission, please email our team for more information about financial requirements. In order to achieve full admission, international students must be able to prove the ability to pay the full tuition of the program and provide an affidavit of support, if applicable.
