Dr. G'Schwind began teaching at Regis in 2001. He earned both his B.A. and M.A. in Speech Communication at Colorado State University, with an emphasis in rhetorical studies and broadcasting. He holds a Ph.D. from Indiana University in Communication and Culture, with a doctoral minor in film studies. His research interests include rhetorical and critical studies of film, civil rights film, public memory, and music. He teaches courses in oral communication, media aesthetics, new communication technologies, video production, and music and audio technology.
Research & Scholarship
Dr. G'Schwind is active in the Mass Communication Interest Group of the National Communication Association and the Media Studies Interest Group of the Western States Communication Association. He has long served as the Executive Director for the Rocky Mountain Communication Association.
