Monsignor Charles B. Woodrich, better known as "Father Woody," was one of Denver’s most beloved priests and a tireless advocate for the homeless. As a Jesuit Catholic university in which service learning is an integral part of the academic mission, we share Father Woody's dedication to the poor, to those most neglected by society and to those too often forgotten in a busy, competitive world.
Father Woody's Haven of Hope
The Haven of Hope is a day shelter for the homeless which embodies the spirit of Father Woody in its generous, compassionate care of the poor. Volunteers serve breakfast and lunch to the hungry and provide clothing and other assistance to those in need. In addition, haircuts, laundry service, bus tokens and other necessities are also provided.
Father Woody's Wheels
University students use four "Father Woody's Wheels" vans to travel to and from homeless shelters several times a week.

Regis students use Father Woody's Workshop, located in the University chapel basement, to store food, make sandwiches and create holiday gifts for the poor and homeless communities.
