Regis becomes first university in the region to offer an applied craft brewing certificate
Something refreshing and delicious is brewing at Regis University. In the fall, Regis will become the first in the region to offer a certificate in applied craft brewing, educating current and future craft brewers in Denver – the heart of the industry – in the biology and business of brewing beer.
The program, housed within Regis College’s biology department, has connected with several local breweries, including some operated by Regis alumni, to guarantee participants real-life experience. Students will take courses in the biology and chemistry of brewing, the business of craft brewing and conduct internships throughout the program.
Regis’ Applied Craft Brewing Certificate is distinctive both in its time-efficient design and its competitive price. Classes for the 12-month program are offered on campus and in the evening. Students who complete the program will also become certified beer judges through the national Beer Judge Certification Program.
The certificate continues a longstanding Catholic tradition of beer brewing, as many modern breweries can trace their origins to beer-brewing monks.
Students must be 21 years or older to enroll and space is limited to just 24 students for the inaugural class beginning late August.
Set yourself apart with an applied craft brewing certificate from Regis University.
