Guest Speaker Melissa Musick Nussbaum (Catholic Speaker Series)
    7:00 PM-9:00 PM

This presentation is free and open to the public. No registration necessary.

Excerpt from article in NCR (6/8/2012): We talk about schism and purges. We talk about a leaner church, a remnant church. Many are convinced of sinister forces at work, and on the rise. In journals of opinion, at dinner parties, at family gatherings, at coffee and donuts after Mass, Catholics are talking.
I think we need some guidelines for these discussions, ways to bring them out of the fog of conspiracy and into the light of real conversation.

Melissa Musick Nussbaum lives in Colorado Springs, Colo. She is coauthor, with Jana Bennett, of Free to Stay, Free to Leave: Fruits of the Spirit and Church Choice. Melissa is a regular contributor to the liturgical journals, Celebration and GIA Quarterly. She is the author of six books and numerous articles. Her work has appeared in Commonweal, Notre Dame Magazine and National Catholic Reporter. She is contributor to Take Heart: Catholic Writers on Hope in Our Time (2007).
