A Degree with Honor Lucie Tran, RC ’03, CPS ’07, CPS ’14 Lucie Tran has graduated from Regis University three times. With a bachelor’s of science and a master’s in business administration, Tran has a well-established career as a process engineer and project manager, currently working as a consultant for CIO Source at New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins, Colo. But the story behind her master’s degree in nonprofit management makes this diploma unique. Tran’s close friend Marisa Colaiano, who worked for nonprofit Kroenke Sports Charities, always said graduating from Regis’ MNM program was on her bucket list. However, soon after enrollment Colaiano passed away suddenly from complications of Multiple Sclerosis. Tran was moved to take action. "I contacted Regis to see if I could complete this degree in her honor," said Tran. "I was in a classroom to begin the program a few weeks later." This time around, Tran was overjoyed to return to Regis, which she calls "home," and excited to learn about the impact of nonprofits on the world and spend time with a group of people who together embody the spirit and passion of her late friend. Tran is excited to see her fellow graduates enter the world to carry out the Jesuit mission of service. Remembering her friend and most recent experience on campus, she continues to support the university financially and emphatically calls Regis students and alumni to remember that they are all men and women in the service others. Your support impacts students each day and helps create leaders in service of others who impact their communities and the world. Help impact more students like Lucie and make a gift today!
