Insurance Eligibility & Examination Costs
Student Health Services is able to bill your medical insurance for reimbursement of a broad spectrum of illness and injury, both acute and chronic. Student Health Services does not treat faculty, staff, workmen's compensation and motor vehicle accident cases.
Health insurance coverage is mandatory for all full-time traditional undergraduate students enrolled at Regis University or in the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions. If you are without private/group health insurance, the Regis Student Health Insurance Plan underwritten by AETNA is available for purchase. Please carry your insurance card at all times.
Over-the-counter medications and an appropriate range of prescription drugs are provided at a low cost and are payable at the time of service. Prescription medication provided at the Regis Student Health Services cannot be billed to existing insurance except for Regis Student Health Insurance plan.
Regis students will not be responsible for co-pay or office visit charges. Student Health Services will bill insurance for reimbursement when provided with current insurance information. Charges not paid by the insurance company become the responsibililty of the student. Students who self-pay will be charged for in house labs, procedures and prescriptions at the time of service.
Off-campus referrals and emergency services are at the student's expense, however your health insurance may cover these costs.
Medical records are strictly confidential. Information will not be released without your written authorization - except by a court order. If needed, we can provide a release of information authorization form. Be aware that if you are over 18 years of age, you are considered an adult and can legally make decisions regarding your healthcare. We will need written permission to speak with ANYONE about your visit to our health service. While we certainly encourage appropriate involvement of parents, coaches, faculty and advisors maintaining confidentiality is a priority.
