Becoming Engaged Citizens
Ignatian Village Community Living
Ignatian Village is an off-campus housing option for students who want to take the next step in developing their social awareness, professional aspirations, and leadership experiences. Ignatian Village is comprised of two Living Learning Communities (LLCs): Ignatian Leadership and Healthcare Professions. Together, these communities are committed to making an impact to the local communities and contributing to the greater good of society. The houses get their namesake from St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits, with this being said it is expected that all residents strive to take the Jesuit principle, “Being in service for and with others,” and extend it to their home lives.
Both communities require additional involvement beyond occasional programming. Students invest a few hours each week in connecting with housemates and working on community goals.
Below are highlights of the Ignatian Village houses:
- Various off-campus houses located within a couple blocks for the main campus populated by sophomore, junior and senior students.
