Understanding Credit Cards: Interest and Beyond

Credit cards occupy a special place in our wallets and purses. They give us a level of convenience that can measurably simplify our financial lives, but they also have the potential to complicate our lives and create financial problems that can haunt us for years. That’s why it’s so important for you to understand the key terms of your credit card agreement and strategies for managing your account wisely.  Come to this workshop to learn about the different types of credit cards; interest rates and how they’re charged on purchases, cash advances, and balance transfers; credit limits; various transaction fees; the true cost of minimum monthly payments; and other key provisions and strategies you should know in order to be a smart consumer.

Managing Your Student Loans

Worried about your student loan debt? This workshop will discuss loans in the present—smart borrowing, types of loans, and loan limits—as well as what to do with your loans post-graduation. We will talk about repayment options, unemployment and forbearance, and graduate school and deferment. If you want to be in the know about your loan future, this workshop can answer all of your questions.

Adding it All Up: Those Pesky “Little  Expenses”

By learning more about your own spending habits and establishing specific goals about these little expenses, you can begin to give yourself greater financial freedom. Come to this workshop to learn tips and strategies for getting all those little expenses under control.
