Student Complaint Procedures
Regis University strives at all times to provide the highest quality of service and the best student experience possible. In the event that you have a serious complaint against the University, we wish to make you aware of the appropriate processes to follow.
- If it is a grade dispute, you should try to resolve it with your professor, the chairperson of the department, the dean of the college where you are enrolled, or the Vice President for Academic Affairs, in that order.
- If the concern has to do with financial aid or tuition and fees, you should go directly to the Financial Aid or Business office by calling 303.458.4126 or 800.568.8932, or by sending an Email to enrolsvc@regis.edu.
- If the concern involves the behavior of an individual student or professor, you should address this concern with that person first. If this is not feasible, you may choose to discuss your concern confidentially with your academic advisor or with the appropriate dean of your school.
- For sexual harassment issues, please see the University's Sexual-Harassment Policy.
- For complaints involving disability services, go to: Office of Disability Services Grievance Procedures.
- For Civil Rights complaint procedures, see the Student Handbook.
If you have taken these steps and the situation is not resolved, please contact the Executive Assistant to the President, in the Office of the President located in Main Hall, Rm. 201, at 3333 Regis Boulevard, Mail Code B-4, Denver, CO 80221-1099, phone number 303.458.4190.
In addition to the above procedures, the U.S. Department of Education requires institutions offering distance education to provide enrolled and prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with its accrediting agency and with the appropriate state agency for handling complaints in the student's state. Many of the outside agencies will require that all institutional procedures be followed before the concern will be considered. Before contacting one of these agencies, Regis University encourages students to inform the University of their complaints first. We are eager to listen to you and resolve the issues.
The Colorado Department of Higher Education has authorized the University to offer undergraduate and graduate level certificates, baccalaureate, masters, doctorate, and first professional degrees. Information regarding complaint process can be found on their website: Colorado Department of Higher Education.
