The Regis Entrepreneur Club invited Regis University students to compete in the creation of an impact statement regarding the possible manufacturing of the Edison2 vehicle as the kickoff of Spaceport Colorado.
The Future is Here!!!
The Edison2 car, Winner of the $5 million Mainstream class of the Automotive X Prize Mainstream class of 2010 has raised a lot of curiosity in future technology. Edison2 pursues efficiency through the absolute virtues of low weight and low aerodynamic drag. It demonstrates a capability of 129 miles per gallon.
Edison2 is looking into creating employment here in CO through their activities, mainly the manufacture of this car. This forms the basis of the competition. If the possibility of manufacturing this car in our backyard is realised, the student should explore the effects of such venture.
These cars will be right here at Regis University Main campus on the 12th of October, 2012 in front of the Student Center. Besides the Entrepreneur Impact Competition that will be held in the morning, we will have ‘Edison2 Tug of War contest, naming of cars from Starwars, Men in Black, Transformers and many more and awards will be given to all winners. Students are welcomed to participate.
For more information on eligibility, guidelines and rules of the Impact competition go to: http://sullivanchair.com/eligibility-rules-of-the-competition/
Should you accept this challenge, you are required to analyze the impact of manufacturing the Edison2 car to the CO community. What would be the nature, magnitude, benefits if any of this impact?
Every student participating is expected to follow all the rules of this competition.
This competition is intended to advance student knowledge of entrepreneurship and explore opportunities for student businesses at Regis University.
