Prior College Credit Counts

If you have prior college credit, you may be closer to achieving your education goal than you realize.  Let us evaluate what you’ve done, and see how it matches up with the program you’re interested in pursuing.  It’s a great next step on your way to your goal.

  1. Send us copies of transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. You may use one of the following methods:
    • Email them to healthcare@regis.edu
    • Fax them to 303.964.5534
    • Mail them to:
      Regis University
      RHCHP Office of Admissions
      Mail Code G-9
      3333 Regis Boulevard
      Denver , CO 80221-1099
  2. Indicate that you would like an "unofficial evaluation" and the name of your program of interest. Include your name, phone number, email address and mailing address on your request.

If you don't have copies of your prior work, request that official transcripts be sent to Regis directly from the schools you’ve attended.  The benefit of sending official copies now is that when you apply, we’ll have them on file already.  After you contact all schools you’ve attended, be sure to send us an email letting us know that your transcripts are on the way, and that you’d like a transcript evaluation.

Please allow 7-10 business days to receive your unofficial evaluation. If you provide us with your email address, we will send you the evaluation via email. Otherwise, it will be mailed back to you.

Note: Completion of an unofficial evaluation does not indicate acceptance into the program.

Doctor of Pharmacy

Due to the dynamic nature of knowledge in the biological and chemical sciences, there is a seven year limit on those prerequisite courses. However, this time limit may be waived if the applicant has a prior bachelor’s degree or higher. Applicants with such a prior degree and who have completed the prerequisites will be reviewed on an individual basis.

Students may complete their pre-pharmacy course requirements at Regis University or at any regionally accredited college or university in the U.S. International graduates must submit an evaluation of foreign educational credentials from one of the agencies approved by Regis University. Transfer guides provide recommended course work from Colorado colleges to transfer to Regis University’s Doctor of Pharmacy program options. One course will fulfill one requirement only. Course requirements are subject to change without notice.

All prerequisite courses (minimum of 68 semester hours) must be completed prior to matriculation into the School of Pharmacy. You may be admitted prior to completion of all prerequisites, contingent upon successful completion by the start of classes.

For further information contact the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions, Office of Admissions at 303.458.4344.

Prerequisite coursework must be completed prior to matriculation into the School of Physical Therapy. However, coursework may be in progress or planned at the time of application without it negatively impacting your application. Regis University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program requires a minimum prerequisite GPA of 2.75 for all applicants. View the list of the prerequisite courses.

The pass-fail option is not accepted in required courses. In addition, grades of D or F are not accepted toward required courses. We recommend that prerequisites be taken within the last five years; however we will consider all courses regardless of the amount of time since completion.
