The Peace & Justice Scholar Activist award is a full-tuition scholarship worth over $120,000.

ABOUT THE AWARD

Download the Peace & Justice Studies Scholar Activist Award brochure.

  • Full-tuition scholarship – approximate value of $120,000
  • Scholar Activist Award recipient must major in Peace & Justice Studies
  • Recipient must participate in Engaged Scholar Activist program through The Center for Service Learning
  • Four-year award renewable based on a 3.0 GPA
  • Award may be used toward approved semester study abroad programs
  • Must be a traditional incoming freshman, and completed the admissions process by Friday, January 11, 2013
  • Strong academic achievement – 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA in high school
  • Intellectually confident with academic promise as noted from teachers and/or counselors
  • Leadership, involvement in community service and civic engagement, and experience with diverse communities
  • Commitment to and a vision for crafting a public life that will positively affect large groups of people

Friday, January 11, 2013 – 5pm MST

APPLICATION PROCESS

Respond in writing to the following question (maximum 1000 words):

  • Why are you interested in this scholarship, and what experience do you bring to the Scholar Activist Award?

Send application essays in MS Word format to Brooke Selle, Assistant Director of Admissions, at bselle@regis.edu. Document title should include your full name and high school.

FINALIST NOTICATION DATE

Finalists will be notified by Friday, January 18, 2013

FULL-DAY SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

Monday, February 18, 2013 – President’s Day

Please note: Limited spaces are available for finalists to attend the Scholar Activist Award competition on the Regis University main campus.
