    Our Jesuit Values

    • Statue of St. Ignatius of Loyola
    • Regis University is inspired by the particular vision of St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), which poses the challenge to think critically, engage in personal reflection and serve those in need.

Sunday Mass Schedule

Masses are held every Sunday at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. while school is in session. The 11 a.m. Mass is not celebrated over the summer, while the 7:30 p.m. Mass is not celebrated during Christmas break. For the most up-to-date schedule information, please contact University Ministry at 303.458.4153.

Weekday

Daily Mass is held at 12:00 p.m. each weekday (while Regis College is in session) in the Madonna Della Strada Chapel.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available to members of the Regis Community on Mondays from 4-4:45 p.m, and Fridays from 11-11:45 a.m., both in the Main Chapel.  Reconciliation will not be available on a regular basis during school holidays or the summer.  We do celebrate a communal Reconciliation Service each Advent and Lent.  You can also make a private appointment with one of the campus priests by contacting University Ministry at 303.458.4153.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is the process by which adults can enter the Catholic Church, or complete their Sacraments of Initiation. This year, the group meets on Sunday evenings following the 7:30 p.m. Mass. Please join us if you are interested in becoming Catholic, completing your initiation, or simply learning more about the Catholic faith.

Questions? Want to sign up? Call the University Ministry Office at 303.964.4153 or email Fr. Hanh.

Sacrament of Marriage

We are proud to offer our chapel for the celebration of Catholic weddings for current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and Trustees of Regis University.  At least eight months prior notice is required.  Our current fees and policies, please contact our Chapel Manager, Susan Arbo or go to our St. John Francis Regis Chapel information.

Eucharistic Adoration

The Catholic Student Association offers weekly opportunities for Catholic students to deepen their faith and practice. Adoration takes place one Tuesday evening a month at 9 p.m. in the side chapel.

How can I participate in Catholic Mass?

Music Ministry

In order to make the music at Regis' Chapel wonderful, we need both singers and instrumentalists. The choir will rehearse on Thursday evenings and an hour before Mass begins. If you can't make these rehearsal times, but are still interested, please contact the Choir Director, Andy Lee, or the Office of University Ministry at 303.458.4153.

Liturgical Ministry

Students, faculty and staff are all encouraged to serve the community through a variety of liturgical ministries. University Ministry always welcomes those interested in serving in any of the following positions:

  • Altar Server
  • Cross Bearer
  • Hospitality Minister
  • Extraordinary Minister of Communion
  • Lector (Proclaiming Scripture)

For more information, contact the Liturgical Ministry Coordinator in the Office of University Ministry at 303.458.4153.

Common Ground Interfaith Prayer Service

On Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. members of the Regis University Community gather in the Newland Prayer room in St. John Francis Regis Chapel for half an hour of an interfaith prayer with readings and quiet reflection. All are welcome.

No interfaith prayer during college holiday or summer breaks.
For more information, contact Ken Phillips, assistant to the vice president for university art, at 303.458.4059.

Wednesday Night Worship

Every Wednesday night at 9 p.m. (while Regis College is in session), students gather in the side chapel to pray together. The prayer form varies, but it is always a great study break and a chance to enjoy some beautiful student-led prayer and some great fellowship. Music is live and student-led, and there is something for everyone! Some prayer forms that are part of our regular rotation:

Caffeinated Christ: Live, contemporary Praise and Worship music, scripture, a reflection by a student and GREAT caffeine and fellowship afterward.

Taizé Prayer:  A quiet, reflective and meditative prayer with a healthy dose of silence. Music is repetitive and often in different languages. Definitely worth checking out!

Prayer Without Borders:  A chance to explore faith and spirituality from a variety of perspectives. This monthly interfaith prayer can help participants to see how much the religions of the world share in common.
