Continue Your Jesuit Education Free of Tuition

Regis, is proud to offer one full-tuition scholarship, awarded to a Jesuit high school graduate who enrolls at Regis University.

Leadership Fellows Scholarship

Leadership Fellows Scholarship Weekend

To compete for the award, finalists must attend the Leadership Fellows competition days Sunday March 17, 2013 and Monday, March 18, 2013. During those days, candidates will interview, collaborate, reflect, team-build and participate in activities that will develop and refine leadership skills. The program also includes infomration sessions about Regis, a campus tour and time with current students. These events will be utilized to assess the Leadership Fellows recipient. (All transportation will be provided upon arrival in Denver, including Denver International Airport roundtrip transport.)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be an incoming freshman and have completed the admissions process by the scheduled due date
  • Demonstrated leadership in one or more of the following: Jesuit high school clubs and organizations, athletics, outside organizations, internships, and community employment;
  • Demonstrated commitment to service and community involvement;
  • Academic achievement that complements the applicant's leadership ability.
  • One essay (500-word min.; 750-word max.) addressing the following prompt:

Application Elements

Submit an essay (500-word minimum; 750-word maximum) addressing the following prompt: Identify a Jesuit value that has become a central tenant in your life. How has it expressed itself in who you are, who you are becoming, and the work that you hope to do at Regis and upon your graduation?

  • Submit your application essay to Brooke Selle, assistant director of admissions at bselle@regis.edu by 5 p.m. MST on Friday, February 8, 2013.
  • Document title and email subject line should include your full name and high school.
  • One nomination letter from a Jesuit high school administrator (e.g. counselor, teacher, principal, campus minister) that speaks to your commitment to leadership. Send nomination letter to us via email.

Finalist Notification

Leadership Fellows finalists will be notified via email on Friday, February 15, 2013.

Recipient Notification

The Leadership Fellows recipient and alternate will be notified via email. The scholarship recipient has until May 1, 2013 to accept the award with a non-refundable $600 deposit.

Requirements to Maintain Scholarship

  • Participation in the Leadership Certification Program;
  • Maintain a 3.0 or higher Grade Point Average at Regis;
  • Placement as the Student Life Leadership Fellows intern;
  • Set an exemplary standard of community citizenship while at Regis.
